At Cameron Grove we created an engaging play experience across the varied levels of the site to include sandpits, natural materials, a running track, a mister and a custom fort. The playspace provides a separate yard for babies and a large combined play yard for toddlers and pre-kinder. The combined yard at Cameron Grove childcare has multiple levels with mounds and ramps between, enticing exploration.
Upright log steppers encourage you through the garden. A water play feature weaves its way down the garden slope, nestled beside an open cubby. To integrate further learning into the playspace, an area has been dedicated to produce. The ‘harvest’ can be used within the childcare centre kitchens for meal preparations. However the ‘main event’ of the play yard will allow for active play and the development of gross motor skills. In the centre of the yard is a custom timber fort.
